High-quality media is key to attracting potential buyers and ensuring your gemstone listings stand out. This article explains how to upload media, connect it to your gemstones, check media status, and manage your files according to RapNet’s standards.
You can upload images to RapNet’s Gemstone Media Library using any of the following methods:
Single Uploads: Upload images individually. For detailed instructions, refer to the help article for single image uploads.
Zip Folder: Upload multiple images at once by compressing them into a zip folder.
CSV File: Provide image links in a CSV file with filenames suffixed as
.png
or.jpg

Navigate to Manage My Gemstones > Media Library
Click ‘Upload New Media’

Select the files (images, videos) you want to upload. Ensure they meet our image quality and size requirements listed below.
Complete the Upload:
Navigate the Gemstone Media Library
You can view and manage media in the library once you’ve uploaded media. Here’s how you can organize and sort your files:
Search for Media Files: Type in the gemstone filename to locate the media you need.
Show Media:
All Media: This shows all uploaded media files, whether they are connected or disconnected from a gemstone.
Connected Media: Displays media that is already linked to a gemstone listing.
Disconnected Media: Displays media that is uploaded but not yet linked to any gemstone.
Actions: Once you’ve located your media files in the library, you can perform several actions to manage them, including connecting or disconnecting media, deleting files, or clearing the entire library.
Table v List View
Table View: Provides a grid layout of all media with detailed columns, such as media type, file name, gemstone stock number, and status (connected or disconnected).
List View: Offers a simple, streamlined view of your media files, displaying basic information like the media type and current status.
Sort by: Newest to Oldest/Oldest to Newest/ A-Z/ Z-A

Connect Media to Gemstones
Once your media files are uploaded, you can manually connect them to a gemstone. If the file name matches the gemstone's stock number, the image will connect automatically. Here’s how to manually connect media files:
Select the Media File: Locate the file you want to connect. Refer above to the paragraph for guidance.
Click 'Connect to Gemstone':
Select the “Connect” button
Type in the Lot # or Stock # > Search Item > Connect Media
Media Auto Connection to Gemstone
Auto-connect Feature: If your image file name matches the gemstone's stock number (e.g., “123456.jpg”), the system will automatically connect the media to the gemstone listing. This simplifies the process by reducing the need for manual connections.
Manage Media
To manage your media files efficiently, use the search box or Show Media filter to locate specific gemstone images. Refer above to paragraph - Navigate the Gemstone Media Library.
Disconnect Media
Locate the Media File/s: Select one or multiple files
Navigate to Actions and Select ‘Disconnect’
Delete Media
To delete a media file you no longer need, follow these steps:
Locate the Media File/s: Select one or multiple files
Navigate to Actions and Select ‘Delete’
Gemstone Media Guidelines
To maintain a high standard of listings, please adhere to the following media rules and guidelines.
General Media Guidelines
Accuracy: Media must accurately represent the gemstone and its features.
Quality: Use high-quality images and videos that are well-lit and focused.
Background: We recommend neutral, clean backgrounds that make the gemstone the focal point.
File Types and Sizes: Ensure your images and videos follow the file format and size guidelines.

Image Files:
JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF files are acceptable,
Minimum Image Resolution: Minimum 800x800 pixels (HD size). File size should not exceed 10 MB.
Zip Folders: Maximum ZIP file size: 500 MB.
