There are 2 methods for sellers to list jewelry inventory to RapNet:

This page explains the following topics; click on a topic to read more.

List jewelry on RapNet using CSV inventory file

Step 1: Prepare jewelry inventory on a CSV file

Step 2: Photograph and save images

Step 3: Upload CSV file with jewlery inventory and images to RapNet

Important: Jewelry without images only show in your own jewelry listings. They do not appear on buyer's search results.

Step 1: Prepare jewelry inventory file in CSV file

  1. Download RapNet's CSV jewelry template, or use your own jewelry CSV file.

  2. Fill out jewelry details

  3. You can add multiple values for some fields, for example, various metal types:

    • Separate each value with a comma.

    1. Dimensions: minimum 1280x1280 pixels, anything lower will not upload.

    2. Photograph images on a clean white background.

    3. Refer to this article to correctly format your jewelry images.

  2. Save jewelry images

    1. Top tip: Image filenames matching the jewelry stock number auto-connect to the correct jewelry item. If the image file names don't match, either

      • Go to field name Image File Name in the CSV inventory file & type in the media file names.

      • Or manually connect images to jewelry after uploading. Read more here.

Step 3: Upload inventory file and images

  1. Jewelry > Upload Jewelry > Multiple

  2. Drag & Drop or browse to select your CSV stock file

  3. Create Listings

    • To upload jewelry inventory to your Instant Inventory feed only, tick 'Upload items as "Own Stock" items for your Instant Inventory'. Read more here.

  4. Match Your Columns: Match the field names in your uploaded CSV file to RapNet's Jewelry fields.

    1. This step is only required if your column headers do not match RapNet's column names.

    2. Use drop-downs to find unmatched columns in your jewelry file.

    3. Columns

      • RapNet column name: as per the Fields Dictionary.

      • Your column name: use drop-down to select the correct column name and match those listed in the RapNet Column Name.

      • Sample from your file: confirm using an example using a value from your jewelry file.

      • Important:

        • Once you select a matching column, it is removed from the drop-down list so you can’t select it again.

        • You only need to match the jewelry fields the first time you upload. RapNet 'remembers' your mapping for next time. If you later change the field names in your CSV file, you will need to re-match again.

    4. Next: only possible when all mandatory fields are correctly matched.

  5. Review Values: Either skip this step, continue importing file and fix the value later, or fix all invalid values now before moving on.

    1. Number of incorrect values

    2. A corrected value

    3. Fix invalid values

      1. Click the blue edit button

      2. Choose correct values from the drop-down menu

      3. Save the corrected value

    4. Either

      1. Skip this step, continue importing and fix the file later, or

      2. Click Next once you've corrected your values

  6. Import Summary: this page displays the number of succesfully uploaded items and invalid values. On this page, you can:

    1. Download Error File: review & fix error items

      • Note: This file is only available once for download. Once you've downloaded it, please save as it will not be available for re-download.

    • Jewelry filenames matching the jewelry stock number are automatically matched to the jewelry item.

  1. Type in your price/currency (USD only), terms and delivery time

Fixing invalid jewelry lots & the jewelry error file

If your inventory file contains missing or invalid jewelry values, the valid jewelry items will upload successfully and only the jewelry with missing or invalid values will be supressed.

You can fix the errors either during the upload process itself or after uploading the rest of your valid lots.

We provide you with a jewelry error file to download so you can easily see your errors and where to fix for re-uploading.

Notes:

  1. The error file is only available once for download so we advise you to save it as soon as you've downloaded it.

  2. The error file is cumulative. This means that errors from different uploads are added to one single error file until that error file is downloaded.

Understanding the error file

The error file is identical to your CSV jewelry file, except for the addition of the first 6 columns with the following data: Date & time that the file was uploaded, the RapNet account where the file was uploaded to, the file name and the reason for the error.

  1. An asterix appears in cells with missing mandatory values.

  2. An asterix followed by the incorrect value appears in cells with invalid values.

When can I find & download the error file?

You can download the error file during the upload process or later on the Upload Multiple Jewelry page.

  1. During upload process:

    1. Upload file > Review Values > skip online fix and continue to import file

    2. Import Summary > Download Error File

  2. Upload Multiple Jewelry page > Download Latest Error file
