Diamond Upload Guidance
Graded Diamonds: Ensure that the diamond information matches the grading report details. Include both the laboratory name and report number to facilitate verification. Note that RapNet does not permit the listing of EGL-graded diamonds.
Location: Accurately specify the physical location of each diamond. Diamonds listed multiple times across different accounts are acceptable, provided the location is correctly stated. A diamond marked as "Guaranteed Available" must be readily accessible for sale or viewing at the listed location and not on hold.
Round Brilliant Cuts and Other Round Shapes: A classic Round Brilliant Cut diamond is characterized by a cut grade, symmetry, and polish grade. Other round diamonds, such as Round Novelty Cut or Round Portrait Cut, should be listed as "Other" on RapNet.
Guaranteed Availability: This means the seller has immediate access to the diamond. To guarantee availability, specify the diamond's location by entering the city, state, or country.
Diamond Pricing: For white diamonds (D-Z color) under 4 carats, provide pricing per carat or as a discount. Fancy color diamonds can be listed without a price. If both discount percentage and price per carat are provided, RapNet prioritizes the price per carat. There's no need to fill out the Rapaport price; RapNet calculates it during the upload.
Fancy-Colored Diamonds: Enter details in the designated fields for fancy colors, not in the D-Z color fields. Refer to Upload Fancy Colors to RapNet.
Diamond Updates: Listings expire every seven days. Refresh them regularly to maintain visibility. Diamond listings expire every 7 days. If all the stock remains the same, click here to refresh them or upload a new Excel file to make sure they stay listed on RapNet.
Inventory File Upload: Ensure numeric fields are free from commas, dollar signs, or percentage symbol

Update your diamond listings regularly. We recommend 2-3 times per week.
Listing Diamonds with Rough Source Information
Rough Diamond Source: Indicate the diamond's country of origin when uploading. Accepted sources include Angola, Canada, Lesotho, Russia, and others.
Single Diamond Upload: In the "Source" field, select the country of origin from the dropdown menu.
Multiple Diamond Uploads: Add a "Source" field to your inventory file and enter the country or mining company. Alternatively, include this information in the "Member Comments" field.
Display in Search Results: Diamonds with known sources are marked with a blue circle containing the letter "S," indicating the country or mining company.

Listing GIA-Graded Diamonds
Data Validation: RapNet validates all GIA-graded diamonds during the upload process, replacing incorrect or missing information with data directly from GIA. If immediate validation isn't possible, RapNet will retry for up to 24 hours to ensure accuracy. Read this article to understand when this happens.
Error Fetching GIA Data: Auto-Retry Enabled: If you see this error, it means we were unable to immediately validate your GIA diamond. There’s no need to worry; RapNet will automatically continue retrying for 24 hours until the diamond details are successfully retrieved and added to your listings.
GIA Shapes: Generally, RapNet uses the shape data from the GIA report. In certain cases, sellers can specify the shape, provided it aligns with RapNet's accepted alternatives. Click here to view the list of shapes and their accepted alternatives.
Comments: Enter personal, non-grading comments in the "Member Comment" field. Comments in the "Report Comments" field will be overwritten by GIA's data during validation.
