A GIA Diamond Origin Report is a complete GIA diamond grading report with confirmation of a diamond's geographic origin.

In addition to a full assessment of a diamond's 4Cs, this report displays:

  • The identification of the country where the diamond was mined

  • An image of the rough and polished diamond

  • Keys to symbols clearly explained in the report

Diamonds with a GIA DOR also have the report number laser inscribed on their girdle.

Knowing a diamonds' origin is important because traceability means understanding that a diamond was mined responsibly.
