Gemstone Matched pairs let you upload and sell two gemstones as a connected set.
You can list them as non-separable (sold strictly together) or separable (can be sold as a set or individually).

This feature is available for both single uploads and CSV uploads in RapNet’s Gemstone section.

Matched Pair Types

Type

Description

Non-separable pairs

Sold strictly together as one lot.

Separable pairs

Can be sold together or as individual gemstones.

Default Setting:
All matched pairs are non-separable unless explicitly marked as separable.

Uploading Matched Pairs

You can upload matched pairs through the Upload Form or CSV File.

Single Gem Upload Form

  1. Go to Upload Gems and select the Lot Type:

    • Single Gem – for individual listings.

    • Matched Pair – to link two gemstones.

  2. Add gemstone details using one of the following methods:

    • Input Gem Details Manually: Enter details for Gem 1 and Gem 2.

    • Load Existing Gem Details: Import from an existing gemstone listing by typing in the stock number and loading data

  3. Once all required fields are completed, the Upload Matched Pair button becomes active.

Important:

Note Field: 'Separable'

  • When uploading matched pairs, the default setting is 'Not Separable'.

  • Tick 'Gem can be sold separately' to list gems as singles and as a pair.

  • Ticking ‘Gem can be sold separately’ for one Gem, but not the other, will consider the matched pair as separable.

File Upload (CSV)

Two CSV formats are supported for matched pairs:

1. Two-Row Format (similar to Diamonds)

  • Each row represents one gem.

  • Both are linked by the same Matched Pair Stock Number.

  • Suitable for:

    • Non-separable pairs

    • Separable pairs (sold together or individually)

2. One-Row Format (NEW)

  • Used only for non-separable pairs that cannot be sold individually.

  • Required fields:

    • Lot Type: Matched Pair

    • Number of Stones: 2
