Find diamonds using buy requests notifications, manage, renew and chat about buy requests plus contact sellers & reject suggested diamonds

Post your buy request, then get on with your work as RapNet works in the background sending you diamonds matching your request.

You can post 3 types of Buy Requests:

  1. Public Buy Request: all RapNet members can view the request and the company posting the request, and respond to the post.

  2. Private Buy Request: only the buy request owner can see the request and receive RapNet notifications when diamonds become available on RapNet.

  3. Anonymous Buy Request: The location and details of the buy request are public but the buy request owner's company details are hidden.

RapNet instantly alerts you with a list of matching diamonds available on RapNet, and notify/email you when sellers respond to your buy request.

Post your Buy Request

Watch this video or continue reading:

  1. Go to All Buy Requests > +New Buy Request

  2. Select your Buy Request Type and Notification Preferences

    1. RapNet auto matches matching diamonds listed on RapNet and will keep adding newly listed matching diamonds to your Buy Request so before posting your buy request.

    2. Auto notifications are switched off if your Buy Request is too general for auto-matching.

  3. Fill out as much diamond information as possible and can also include location and comments.

    • Note: Mandatory diamond fields are: Shape, Size, Color & Location.

  4. Save

Find diamonds matching your buy request

You can find diamonds matching your buy request in 3 ways:

  1. RapNet notification system alerts you when there are listed diamonds matching your buy request.

    1. We send you up to 50 of the most updated diamonds

    2. The system adds those diamonds to your buy request

  2. Sellers respond to your buy request

    1. Their response attaches to your buy request

    2. No limitation to diamond suggestions

    3. Only for public or anonymous buy requests which are added to buy request

  3. Add diamonds to your buy request from the diamond search results

    1. Hover over a buy request > click on the search icon

    2. View diamonds matching your buy request

    3. Select diamonds > Click the List icon

    4. Select the buy request number > Add

    5. Click Back to go back My Buy Request page

Note: We will not send you diamonds that have already been suggested/rejected.

Buy Request Notifications

There are 3 ways RapNet alerts you when diamonds are added to your buy requests:

  1. My Buy Requests page: RapNet tags your buy requests with responses

  2. RapNet Notifications: Click and go to a specific buy request matching your inventory.

  3. Receive a RapNet email and/or push notification when a seller responds to your buy request. Click on the View Notifications button to go to the buy request.

    1. The buy request seller default notification is off.

    2. To receive email and/or push notifications once a day, click here and turn on your Notification Settings.

Manage Buy Request Suggestions

Click here to learn how to navigate this page.

  1. Filter your buy requests to view which ones have responses or suggestions.

  2. Click on a buy request to review the suggested items > buy request window pops up.

    • Expand details to review your buy request in full

    • Make a note of this buy request

    • Diamonds: These are diamonds suggested by RapNet or diamonds you added from the search results page.

    • Seller's responses: RapNet seller's responses to your buy request

      • Click on a seller's name to view diamonds or a message

  3. Click on either Diamonds or Seller's Responses

    1. Actions

      1. Click on a row to open the item page

      2. Hover over a row

        1. Contact Seller: creates a trade in Trade Center with the seller

        2. Add Selected to List: attaches the selected diamond(s) to the buy request List (see Lists)

        3. Reject the diamond(s)

    2. More: Select diamond(s):

      1. Contact Seller: creates a trade in Trade Center with the seller

      2. Add Selected to List: attaches the selected diamond(s) to the buy request List (see Lists)

      3. Reject the diamond(s)

      4. See List: See the list where this diamond is attached

Notes:

  • RapNet does not suggest items that have already been suggested.

  • If a diamond was rejected by the buyer, that diamond will not appear againin automatedg matching notifications.

Buy Request Chats

A chat opens when a member replies & sends a message regarding your buy request.

  • You'll see your 5 latest chats on your homepage, similar to all other chats.

  • When selecting a buy request chat, it will indicate the chat is from a Buy Request > click > chat is routed to the Buy Request page > respond from there.

Note:

  • A chat that has been initiated on a buy request and saved is not editable - you cannot update the message that was sent in the original response.

  • You can view the chat and continue to chat by pressing the chat icon

Renew Expired Buy Requests

Buy Requests expire after 14 days. To renew a buy request:

Select the buy request you want to renew > More > Renew Selected
