Once you've completed your Instant Inventory settings, your next step is to create at least one diamond rule. These rules control:
Which diamonds are included in your feed
Which suppliers you show diamonds from
What pricing will your customers see
You can add or edit rules anytime. Updates are applied automatically—no need to resend scripts or update your website integration.
Tip: If a diamond appears in more than one rule or is listed by multiple suppliers, only the lowest-priced version will be displayed.
What’s in a Diamond Rule?
Each diamond rule consists of:
Diamond parameters (e.g., shape, size, clarity, color, grading lab)
Selected suppliers
Price markups for your website display
You can create multiple rules per feed—for example, different rules for different regions, markups, or suppliers.

1. Define Diamond Parameters
Choose the shapes, sizes, colors, clarities, and other characteristics you want in your feed.
Mandatory fields include shape, size, color, clarity, grading report, finish, and price.
All parameters are filtered into a single feed—white and fancy color diamonds cannot be separated unless you're using the API.
API users can set the search type to White D-M or Fancy Color to force the selection of only white or fancy colored diamonds.
2. Choose Suppliers
Select the suppliers whose diamonds you want to include:
All Suppliers: View all suppliers on RapNet who allow Instant Inventory listing
Selected Suppliers: Move chosen suppliers into this section
Use filters or Request permission from a new supplier
Use Add All or add/remove individually using the + or trash icon
3. Set Your Price Markups
You can create as many markup rules as you need and apply different pricing strategies depending on the supplier, region, or product type.
Apply a markup that adjusts the diamond price shown to your website visitors.
4. Name & Save Your Rule
Give your rule a clear, descriptive name (e.g., “USA Suppliers – 15% Markup”).
Once saved, you can:
Add another rule
Go to the Dashboard to manage feeds, rules, and suppliers
Activate your feed to go live on your site
Upload Your Own Stock (Own Stock Feature)
Want to showcase your own inventory on your website? Use Own Stock to display your diamonds in Instant Inventory—without listing them publicly on RapNet.
Steps:
Go to your Instant Inventory > Diamond Feed dashboard
Click View and Edit
Click Own Stock tab
Drag & Drop your CSV file or upload it manually
First time uploading? Follow these upload instructions
Note: Only images uploaded to RapNet and whitelisted videos will display in Instant Inventory. Duplicate listings are filtered—only the lowest-priced version appears.
