Calculate diamond prices on the web or app, and see best/average prices on RapNet for similar diamonds

The diamond price calculator allows you to calculate the price of a single diamond by entering the shape, size, color, and clarity of a diamond.

The price calculator is also packed with other functions such as analytical diamond price data, price comparisons, currency conversions, exporting calculations to XL, and more.


Diamond Price Calculator Features on the App

You can access the diamond price calculator from either the RapNet App homepage or open up the menu bar > Prices > Calculator.

(The 3 dots in the top right corner: are the melee calculator, calculate dates, and saved lists)

  1. Enter your diamond parameters

  2. Fill in either your Rap% discount, price/ct, or total price for the calculator to calculate.

  3. Action Buttons:

    1. Graph: Enables you to analyze diamond prices. Click to view a simple graph with the distribution of all similar diamonds based on your calculation.

      • White dot: represents your price, according to the calculation

      • Yellow dot: represents the average price according to all search results

      • Price Insights: below the graph, you can see the lowest (best) and average prices for similar diamonds.

    2. Search RapNet: Indicates how many diamonds on RapNet match your diamond parameters and a search button opens up a diamond search based on your calculator's parameters.

    3. Save Calculation: Tap to save your price calculation.

    4. Change Currency: Tap to select the currency you wish to calculate your diamond prices. All prices will reflect your chosen currency.

    5. Compare: Opens a compare screen where you can compare prices for 2 different diamonds.

    6. 1x: Choose the mode you'd like Rap% gaps to display on the calculator. For example: 22 % - 23% - 24% - 25% or 22 % - 22.5% - 23% - 23.5%

IMPORTANT: The Graph and Search RapNet functions are available for RapNet members only.

How to Calculate Diamond Prices on the App

  1. Calculator > Select the diamond data: Shape, Size, Color, Clarity

  2. Type in either your $CT or % Rap:

    • Scroll up or down %Rap and find our discount or

    • Type in your price/ct or total price (TTL)

  3. The calculator automatically works out your price and displays the Rapaport List Price per carat and Rapaport Total Price

Top Tip: If you'd like to gap your percentages by 0.5% instead of 1% (example: 22 % - 22.5% - 23% - 23.5%), click this button and it will change to 0.5X and Rap percentage gaps will update to 0.5%.

  1. Rapaport Prices > Price Calculator

  2. Enter the diamond data: Shape, Size, Color, Clarity

  3. Click Calculate > Calculator displays

    1. The Rapaport price list for your diamond

    2. The average price on RapNet for that category of diamond

    3. The best price on RapNet for that category of diamond ** see important note below

  4. Type in either your $CT or % Rap > Use the minus sign for a percentage below the Rapaport price e.g. -30 for 30% below

  5. The calculator automatically works out your total price

  6. Save the calculation and export to Excel

Important Note **

  • The Best Price is shown on the calculator and TradeScreen is the best price that meets Rap Spec A1, A2, and A3 and is GIA-graded

  • This means that the price displayed is for the best cheapest stone on RapNet but not the cheapest stone overall

  • To find the BEST cheapest stone you can either fill in the parameters in the search engine as GIA and add the Specs or you can use the Trade Screen
