Multi-factor authentication (MFA) enhances the security of your RapNet account by requiring two pieces of information: your password and a 6-digit code sent to your phone or an authentication app.
We recommend using an authentication app for added security.
Step-by-Step Guide
Log in to RapNet.
Choose your authentication method:
Authentication App: Open Google Authenticator on your phone and scan the QR code displayed on the RapNet screen.
Phone (SMS): Enter your phone number, then choose either text or call for the 6-digit code.
Enter the 6-digit code received via your chosen method and click Continue.
Save your recovery code: This is a one-time code that helps you regain access to your RapNet account if you lose your primary authentication method.
Adding Biometric Authentication
If available on your device, you can add biometrics (such as fingerprint or facial recognition) as an additional authentication method.
Note: You must select Google Authenticator or SMS as your primary MFA method before enabling biometrics.

Set Up MFA on Your Smartphone
If you're unable to scan the QR code when on your smartphone, follow these instructions:
Download Google Authenticator from the Google Play Store or App Store.
Open the RapNet App, select Authenticator > Trouble Scanning, and then Copy the Code.
Open Google Authenticator, tap the + icon, and select Enter a Setup Key. Paste the copied code.
After adding RapNet, enter the 6-digit temporary code from Google Authenticator into the RapNet app.
Logging in on New Devices
When signing into RapNet from a new device for the first time, you’ll need to enter your password and the temporary verification code sent to your phone or authentication app.
Once signed in, RapNet will remember your device for 30 days unless you sign out completely, erase the device, or change your password.
MFA Setup Notes for RapNet Account
Only the Primary Account Holder can enable MFA on your RapNet account.
You can ask RapNet to remember your device for 30 days, eliminating the need for Multi-Factor Authentication each time you log in.
This will work if you don't clear your cookies during that time.
