With RapNet, tracking and managing shared diamond and jewelry items is straightforward. Not only can you see who has viewed or interacted with your items on the Items Shared page, but you can also stay on top of customer leads, follow up on inquiries, and ensure you don’t miss out on any sales opportunities.

View Shared Items on the Items Shared Page

RapNet Items Shared page tracks items shared via Email, Public Link, or Facebook Post.

The video explains how to keep track of all the items you've shared.

Tracking Items Shared via RapNet Chat

Items shared with RapNet members through Chat do not appear on the Items Shared page.

To view and manage items shared via Chat:

  1. Open RapNet Chat.

  2. Find the relevant conversation in your inbox.

  3. The shared item will appear within the message thread.

Use RapNet Chat when you want to communicate directly with other verified members or respond to inquiries with personalized item recommendations.

Use public sharing (email, link, Facebook) for non-members, and Chat for private member-to-member communication.

The Items Shared Page

Go to People > ITEMS SHARED tab to view a table summarizing all your shared items.

Shared items columns:

  1. Item Shared (lot number): Active links are in blue.  Click to view the RapNet diamond item page.

  2. Item description

  3. Shared Markup Price

  4. Date shared

  5. Link Expiry Date: Links emailed to external non-RapNet members expire after 48 hours, after which time the date is replaced with ‘expired’

  6. Shared with: Name of the contact that the item was shared with

  7. Status: Indicates if the share link was Not Opened / Opened / Customer liked this item / Customer disliked this item

  8. Views: See how many people have viewed an item you have shared

Remember: Shared items with RapNet members go through RapNet Chat! You'll need to go there to review items shared with members.

Deactivate Shared Links

Although links expire automatically (48 hours for email, 7 days for public/Facebook), you can manually deactivate them at any time.

How to Deactivate a Shared Link

  1. Go to your Items Shared page

  2. Hover over the item

  3. Click the garbage bin icon

  4. Confirm deactivation

Once deactivated, the live blue link turns black, and the customer will no longer be able to view the shared item page.

Managing Leads from Shared Items

When a customer interacts with a shared item (whether through email, link, or Facebook), RapNet tracks the lead in your Leads Page. You'll get notified whenever a lead is generated.

What Happens When a Customer Responds

  • Email Shares:
The customer can click "I like this item" or "Send me something else". Once clicked, both options disappear, and RapNet notifies you of their action via email.

  • Link/Facebook Shares:
The customer fills out an inquiry form, submitting their contact details. This generates a New Lead notification in RapNet and an email notification.

Leads Page Overview

You can manage all your leads directly from the Leads Page, which includes:

  • Customer Name & Email: All leads’ contact information is displayed here.

  • Interested Item(s): The specific jewelry or diamond item the customer inquired about.

  • Price: The price shown to the customer (including any markup you applied).

  • Inquiry Date: The date the customer submitted their inquiry.

Actions You Can Take on the Leads Page

  • Add to Contacts: Adds the lead to your Contacts with all their information, allowing you to track communications and follow-ups easily.

  • Open Item Page: Click this to view detailed information about the item the customer is interested in.

  • Contact Seller: If you're not the item owner, you can contact the seller to open a trade or further discuss the item.
